# Connect Gmail

> Connect your Gmail account to Aura so your agent can manage and reply to emails automatically.

## Steps to connect Gmail

#### Go to Integrations

From the side menu in your dashboard, navigate to the **Integrations** section.

#### Select Gmail

Find the **Gmail** card in the list of available integrations and click on it.

#### Authorize with your Google account

A Google window will open where you need to sign in and grant Aura permission to read and send emails on your behalf.

#### Verify the status

Go back to the Integrations section and check that the Gmail status shows as **Active**.

## After connecting

Once connected, the emails you receive will appear as conversations in the **Messages** section. Your agent can automatically reply to emails based on the instructions and knowledge base you have set up.

> Emails are managed the same way as messages from other channels. You can enable or disable the agent's automatic replies for each individual conversation.

> If Gmail is your main point of contact with customers, connecting this channel lets you automate replies to common inquiries and free up time for more important tasks.
