# Connect Instagram

> Connect your Instagram account to Aura so your agent can automatically reply to direct messages.

## Prerequisites

>
> To connect Instagram, you need an Instagram account linked to a Facebook page. Personal accounts that are not linked are not supported. If your account is not linked, you can do so from Instagram settings.

## Steps to connect Instagram

#### Go to Integrations

From the side menu in your dashboard, navigate to the **Integrations** section.

#### Select Instagram

Find the **Instagram** card in the list of available integrations and click on it.

#### Authorize the connection

Follow the on-screen instructions to authorize Aura. You will be asked to sign in with your Instagram or Facebook account and grant the necessary permissions.

#### Verify the status

Go back to the Integrations section and check that the Instagram status shows as **Active**.

## After connecting

Once connected, your agent will start automatically replying to direct messages (DMs) you receive on Instagram. All conversations appear in the **Messages** section alongside those from your other connected channels.

> If your business receives a lot of inquiries through Instagram, connecting this channel lets you automate replies without missing any conversation.
