# Add content

> Learn how to add text, files, and web links to your agent's knowledge base.

## How to add content to the knowledge base

There are three ways to enrich your agent's knowledge base. Click the **Add** button at the top of the section and choose the type of content you want to include.

#### Text/Instructions

Write the information your agent should know directly.

#### Click Add

Click the **Add** button and select the text option.

#### Enter a name

Give it a descriptive **Context Name** to help you identify this content later. For example: "Opening hours" or "Cancellation policy".

#### Write the content

In the **Specific Instructions** field, write all the information you want your agent to know. Be as clear and detailed as possible.

#### Save

Click save to add the content to the knowledge base.

#### Files

Upload documents so the agent can automatically extract their content.

#### Click Add

Click the **Add** button and select the file option.

#### Select the file

Drag the file to the designated area or click to select it from your device.

#### Save

The file will be uploaded and its content will be available to the agent.

> **Info**
>
> Supported file formats are: **PDF**, **DOCX**, **XLSX**, and **XLS**. Once uploaded, the file cannot be modified. If you need to update the content, delete the existing entry and create a new one with the updated file.

#### Web Documents (URLs)

Paste a webpage address so the agent can extract its content.

#### Click Add

Click the **Add** button and select the web link option.

#### Paste the URL

Enter the webpage address in the **Website URL** field. The system will show a preview with the estimated content size.

#### Assign a name

Give the extracted content a descriptive **Context Name**.

#### Save

Click save so the agent can access the information from that page.

## Manage existing content

In the knowledge base table you can see all added content with the following columns:

* **Type**: text, file, or link
* **Name**: the descriptive name you gave it
* **Source**: the URL or file name
* **Size**: how much space it takes up
* **Created date**: when it was added
* **Last updated**: when it was last modified

To delete content, open its options and select **Delete**. You'll be asked to confirm before it's removed.

> **Warning**
>
> Deleting an entry means the agent will no longer have access to that information. Make sure it's no longer needed before removing it.
