Balance and credits

How credits work

Your agent consumes credits every time it performs an activity:

  • Calls: charged per minute of conversation. The longer the call, the more credits are consumed.
  • Messages: each message sent or received consumes credits.

Plan credits vs. wallet balance

You have two sources of credits:

  1. Plan credits: included with your subscription and renewed automatically each billing cycle. These are used first.
  2. Wallet balance: additional credits you top up manually. These are used when your plan credits run out.

In the Profile > Billing and usage section you can see at any time:

  • Your Available balance in the wallet
  • The Remaining credits from your current plan
  • The date of the Next cycle renewal

Top up your balance

1

Go to Billing

Navigate to Profile > Billing and usage.

2

Click Top up

Click the Top up button next to the available balance.

3

Enter the amount

Type the amount you want to add. There is a minimum amount per top-up.

4

Complete the payment

Click Continue to payment and complete the transaction. Payment is processed through Stripe.

Auto-recharge

To make sure you never run out of balance, you can enable auto-recharge. When your balance drops below a threshold you define, it will automatically top up by the amount you specify.

1

Enable auto-recharge

In Profile > Billing and usage, toggle on Enable automatic auto-recharge.

2

Set the threshold

In Recharge threshold, enter the minimum balance that will trigger the automatic top-up.

3

Set the amount

In Recharge amount, enter how much will be added each time it’s triggered.

For auto-recharge to work, you need to have a saved payment method. Without a payment method, auto-recharge will fail.

What happens when credits run out

In your agent’s settings (under the Limits section), you can choose what happens when plan credits are exhausted:

  • Stop: the agent stops working until you top up or the cycle renews.
  • Use Balance: the agent keeps working using your wallet balance.

Spending limits per agent

If you have multiple agents, you can set a monthly spending limit for each one. When an agent reaches its limit, it will stop consuming credits based on the setting you chose (stop or use wallet balance).

Setting monthly limits per agent is a good practice to control costs, especially if you have several active agents.
