Troubleshooting

Integration statuses

Each integration has a status that indicates its current state:

  • Draft: the integration has been created but is not yet configured.
  • Configure: the integration needs you to complete its setup.
  • Testing: the integration is being verified.
  • Active: everything is working correctly and the integration is operational.
  • Paused: the integration is temporarily stopped.
  • Error: something has gone wrong and the integration is not working.
  • Disconnected: the integration has lost its connection to the external service.

Test the connection

Before diagnosing an issue, use the Test connection button in the integration settings. This test verifies that Aura can communicate correctly with the external service and gives you the result immediately.

Common errors and solutions

What it means: Aura cannot locate the calendar or resource configured in the external service.

Solution: verify that the calendar ID you’ve configured is correct. Go to the integration settings and check that the identifier matches the one in the external service.

What it means: the permission you granted Aura to access your account has expired.

Solution: reconnect your account. Go to the integration settings, click Sign in, and re-authorize access.

What it means: the account you used doesn’t have the required permissions to access the requested resource.

Solution: verify that the account you connected with has sufficient permissions in the external service. If you’re using a business account, check with your administrator.

What it means: too many requests were sent to the external service in a short period of time, and it has temporarily blocked requests.

Solution: wait a few minutes and try again. If this happens frequently, consider increasing the sync interval (for example, from 5 minutes to 15 minutes).

What it means: the access credentials are no longer valid. This can happen if you changed your account password or manually revoked permissions.

Solution: reconnect your account from the integration settings. Click Sign in to renew your credentials.

What it means: the external service could not be reached. It may be a temporary issue with the provider.

Solution: wait a few minutes and try again. If the problem persists, check that the external service is running correctly from its own website.

Automatic pause after repeated failures

Aura includes a protection mechanism that automatically pauses an integration after several consecutive failures. Think of it as a “safety brake” — if the integration fails repeatedly, Aura stops trying temporarily to avoid overloading the external service.

When this happens, the integration enters an Error state. Once you resolve the underlying issue (for example, by renewing credentials), the integration will automatically reactivate once it verifies the connection is working correctly.

The most effective fix for most integration issues is to reconnect your account. This renews all credentials and typically resolves authorization, invalid token, and access denied errors all at once.
