I forgot my password, how do I recover it?
Don’t worry — recovering your password is very simple:
- Go to the login screen.
- Click “I forgot my password”.
- Enter the email address you used to sign up.
- You’ll receive an email with instructions to create a new password.
- Open the email, click the link, and choose your new password.
If you don’t receive the email, check your spam or junk folder. The link has a limited time window, so use it as soon as possible. If it has expired, simply repeat the process.
If your account needs to be verified first, you’ll see the message “Your account needs to be verified before resetting the password.” In that case, verify your account before attempting to reset the password.
My session keeps expiring, is that normal?
Yes, it’s normal for your session to expire after a while for security reasons. When this happens, you’ll see the message “Your session has expired. Please log in again”.
This can happen for several reasons:
- It’s been a long time since you logged in.
- You’ve logged in on another device or browser.
- Your browser has cleared its cookies.
Simply log in again with your email and password. If this happens very frequently, make sure you’re not using your browser’s incognito mode, as it clears the session when you close the window.
Can I log in with Google?
Yes, Aura supports logging in with your Google account. On the login screen, click the “Continue with Google” button and select your account.
If you see an error when trying, Google login may be temporarily unavailable. In that case, use your regular email and password. If you don’t remember your password, you can recover it from the login screen.
I get "You must log in to access this resource" -- what do I do?
This message appears when you try to access a section of Aura without being logged in or when your session has expired.
To fix it:
- Go back to the login screen.
- Enter your email and password.
- Once inside, try accessing the section you needed again.
If the problem persists after logging in, try logging out completely and logging back in, or clear your browser’s cookies.
How do I change my email address?
To change the email address associated with your account:
- Go to Settings (gear icon in the sidebar).
- Enter the Profile or Account section.
- Click Change email.
- Enter your new email address.
- You’ll receive a verification code at the new email. Enter it to confirm the change.
Keep in mind:
- The code has a limited time window. If you see “Invalid or expired verification code,” request a new one.
- If you enter the code incorrectly multiple times, it will be temporarily blocked and you’ll need to request a new one.
- The new email cannot already be registered to another account.
I'm not receiving the verification code
If you’re not receiving the verification code by email, follow these steps:
- Check your spam or junk folder.
- Wait a few minutes — the email may take a moment to arrive.
- Make sure you entered your email correctly.
- Request a new code by clicking “Resend code” or restarting the process.
If the code has expired, you’ll see the message “The verification code has expired. Please request a new code.” Simply request a new one.
