Integrations
Frequently asked questions about integrations
My integration shows as "Error" or "Disconnected"
If your integration shows the status Error or Disconnected, it means Aura cannot communicate correctly with the external service. This can happen for several reasons:
- Expired credentials: The access credentials have expired. You’ll see the message “Integration credentials have expired. Please reconnect.”
- Repeated failures: If there have been several consecutive errors, the integration is temporarily deactivated to protect your account.
- Changes in the external service: The external service (for example, Google) may have revoked access.
To fix it:
- Go to Agent > Integrations.
- Find the problematic integration.
- Click Reconnect or Re-authorize.
- Follow the steps to reconnect your account.
If it’s still in error after reconnecting, verify that your credentials are correct and that the external service is running properly.
I've reached the integration limit
Each plan has a maximum number of integrations you can set up. If you see the message “You’ve reached the maximum integrations for your subscription plan,” you need to:
- Remove an existing integration you no longer use: Go to Agent > Integrations, select the integration, and click Delete.
- Upgrade your plan: Go to Billing > Subscription > Change plan to access a plan that allows more integrations.
Google Calendar data isn't syncing
If Google Calendar events aren’t appearing in Aura or changes in Aura aren’t reflected in Google Calendar:
-
Check the integration status: Go to Agent > Integrations and verify that the Google Calendar integration is in Active status.
-
Make sure there isn’t a sync in progress: If you see “A sync operation is already in progress,” wait for it to finish before starting another.
-
Force a manual sync: In the Google Calendar integration, click Sync now to force an immediate sync.
-
Check the selected calendar: Make sure you have the correct calendar selected in the integration settings. If you use multiple calendars in Google, the integration may be pointing to a different one than you expect.
-
Reconnect if needed: If nothing works, disconnect the integration and reconnect it from Agent > Integrations.
How do I reconnect an expired integration?
When an integration’s credentials expire, you need to re-authorize access:
- Go to Agent > Integrations.
- Find the integration showing Error or Disconnected status.
- Click Reconnect or Re-authorize.
- The external service’s authorization screen will open (for example, Google).
- Sign in and grant the necessary permissions.
- The integration will return to Active status.
You won’t lose the integration’s configuration or history when reconnecting. Only the access credentials are updated.
Can I use multiple integrations of the same type?
No. Currently, you can only have one integration per provider (for example, one Google Calendar integration). If you try to create a second one, you’ll see the message “An integration with this provider already exists.”
If you need to switch accounts (for example, use a different Google calendar), disconnect the current integration first and then create a new one with the other account.
What does each integration status mean?
Integrations can be in different statuses. Here’s what each one means:
-
Draft: The integration has been created but hasn’t been fully configured yet. You need to complete the setup.
-
Configuring: You’re in the process of setting up the integration (for example, entering credentials or authorizing access).
-
Testing: Aura is verifying that the connection to the external service works correctly.
-
Active: Everything is working correctly. The integration is connected and syncing data.
-
Paused: The integration is temporarily stopped. Data isn’t being synced, but the configuration is preserved. You can resume it anytime from Agent > Integrations.
-
Error: Something has gone wrong with the connection. It could be due to expired credentials, external service failures, or other issues. Check the error details and reconnect if needed.
-
Disconnected: The integration has been manually disconnected or the credentials have been revoked. You need to reconnect it.
The ideal status is Active. If you see any other status, check the integration in Agent > Integrations for more details.
